Head over to the Toronto Food Tours website and book a Smoking 101 BBQ class lead by pitmaster Jason Rees. Chef Scott of Toronto Food Tours will also impart knowledge and expertise to the class. Both of these gentlemen know how to tell a good story and each has many stories to tell.
Classes are arranged through Toronto Food Tours and take place at Earlscourt BBQ once a month on Mondays when the restaurant is closed for business and the class has the restaurant to itself. Get more information and book (or buy a gift card) here.
Note: We can’t answer inquiries about classes directly. Please contact Toronto Food Tours.
What People are Saying
“My girlfriend and I took the Smoking 101 course this past weekend. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We learned a ton of good information about smoking meats and got to try some very excellent examples of what they should taste like coming odd your smoker. Highly recommended for the beginner and seasoned smoker alike.”

We had an excellent time at the BBQ class this last week. Chef Scott & Jason Rees (of Pork Ninjas) kept up an entertaining an informative spiel regarding bbq techniques, while allowing us to try the techniques ourselves. The atmosphere was really relaxed and chill and we really enjoyed the suckling pig & fixings dinner post class– we really felt we could ask any question & would get a very thorough & professional advice in return.
I also can’t say enough about the company itself– we had some booking issues, as well as getting lost on the way to the class– but with each issue members of the company went out of their way to help us out… Whatever the event, I would highly recommend these guys.
